June 17 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm$15
Introduction to Integrated Pest Management is designed to help the farmer, gardener, and grower change the way they think about and deal with plant pests and pathogens. By better understanding natural systems and knowing what resources are out there, cultivators can develop strategies that maximize the control of unwanted elements while reducing cost as well as the use of plant protection products and the impact on the environment.
This course covers the most common plant pests and pathogens, highlights select insect predators, beneficial microorganisms, and agricultural chemicals, and explores different methods of physical control. Become a better grower by taking this course and learning how to research specific problems in plant health and develop an effective and efficient plan for control.
